Our May Turnout is entirely devoted to the Entomology Series by Liquid Treasures. Each one of these bottles is a limited edition, collectors grade whisky. The labels, as in each one of Liquid Treasures’ releases, are also unique and unusual.
All drams are available in one of our Explorer Packs, which, as always, is a great way to sample the great drams from our Monthly Turnout list.

Nose: Plenty of phenol, freshly cut fennel and a minty note. Cinnamon and star anise.
Palate: Sharper mint, strong but not burning. Pronounced phenol with a grapefruit note with a nicely balanced acidity. Salt and iodine with seaweed. Very oily.
Finish: Long and soft, beautiful. Peat returns only to become stronger as the taste of the whisky fades away.

Nose: Caramelised fruit, honey and a touch of toasted bread, Kelloggs Fruit & Nut cereal, pineapple and grapefruit. It’s also quite green, with aromas of freshly cut grass, moss and a handful of herbs. Chuck in some Bakewell Tarts for good measure, too.
Palate: Peppery oak spice, dark chocolate, juicy orchard fruit. Hoppy with a pleasingly soft mouthfeel lifted by a little fresh chilli prickle. There’s also orchard fruits, cashew nuts, a mineral quality and the impression of menthol. Finish: Soft and gentle with some sugar-dusted pancakes with a squeeze of lemon and jam of orchard fruits, pepped up with some light chilli.
